Chengdu Preview Sweden Boosted by European Team Title

Kristian Karlsson and Anton Kallberg, proudly donning the colors of Team Sweden, return to script a new chapter in their national team journey after a triumphant victory at the 2023 European Team Table Tennis Championships. In a thrilling final, Sweden secured a 3-1 victory against Germany, ending a 21-year drought.

On the womens side, the pair Linda Bergstrom and Christina Kallberg, currently ranked World No.5 in Womens Doubles, recently claimed the title at WTT Feeder Doha 2023. Their prowess in doubles could prove pivotal in securing victories under the new playing system of the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup.

Linda BERGSTROM (World No.32)
Linda Bergstrom showcases versatility and skill in both singles and doubles. She clinched mixed doubles titles in WTT Feeder Stockholm and womens doubles in WTT Feeder Doha this season.

Christina KALLBERG (World No.92)
At 23, Christina Kallberg represented Sweden in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games. As a seasoned doubles player, she is a key asset under the new mixed team format.

Filippa BERGAND (World No.215)
Now 24, Filippa Bergand, a talented athlete from an early age, is a three-time Swedish Youth and Junior Champion, bronze medallist of Swedish Championships, one-time World Junior Circuit Womens Doubles Champion, and one-time World Junior Circuit Womens Singles Runner-up.

Anton KALLBERG (World No.16)
Anton Kallberg has been on the cusp of a major breakthrough since emerging on the international scene, defeating established names like Lee Sangsu and Chuang Chih-Yuan. In 2023, he claimed the singles champion title in WTT Contender Tunis by defeating Patrick Franziska.

Kristian KARLSSON (World No.37)
Kristian Karlsson played a pivotal role in his nations exploits at the 2018 World Championships in Halmstad. The left-hander contributed to the Swedish mens team securing a bronze medal in front of a jubilant home crowd.

Isak ALFREDSSON (World No.713)
