Milton Keynes Distant Project athlete Charles Wheeler went inside 13:40 for the first time with his 13:38.67 while runner-up Cameron Allan broke 14 minutes for the first time with 13:42.26 in second.

Wheeler was ahead at 3000m in 8:10.64.

Five others broke 14 minutes in the A race.

There were also PB’s for the women’s first two.

New Zealander Georgie Grgec won in 15:51.54 as Elle Twentyman chased her home in 15:58.39 and Jennifer Walsh (15:59.70) was also inside 16 minutes.

Ian Crowe-Wright won the mile in a PB 3:57.96 ahead of Ben MacMillan’s  3:58.30 and Scott Beattie’s 3:58.61.

David Mullarkey, John Howorth, Josh Carr and Ben Potrykus were also inside four minutes.

Olympic finalist Jodie Williams returned from injury in her first race since early April with a 52.71 win ahead of Jessica Turner (53.12).

Angus McMillan won the 3000m in a PB 8:04.29 ahead of English national junior champion Will Barnicoat who set a five second PB and also gained a World under-20 qualifier.

British Championships bronze medallist Sabrina Sinha won the 1500m in a PB 4:12.80 in finishing just ahead of English National junior champion Alexandra Millard.

Jamal Rhoden-Stevens won the 400m in 46.83 as European under-20 champion Ed Faulds had his first race of the outdoor season with a tentative 48.59.
