Pro14: Leinster 63-8 Zebre

Hooker Dan Sheehan marked his debut by scoring two of Leinster's nine tries as the Pro14 champions easily saw off Zebre in Dublin.

Winger Tommy O'Brien also scored twice, with the other tries coming from Michael Bent, Dave Kearney, Josh Murphy, Ciaran Parker and Scott Penny.

A penalty by fly-half Paolo Percetto and try by Michelangelo Biondelli were Zebre's response.

Dan Leavy came on as a replacement after 19 months out injured.

The Ireland flanker had not played since sustaining a multi-ligament knee injury in the Champions Cup quarter-final win over Ulster in March 2019.

He almost got a stoppage-time try but the score was ruled out after a video review.

Leinster have three wins out of three in Conference A, while Zebre are still seeking their first point of the season.

Leo Cullen's side, champions for the last three seasons, had the bonus point banked by the break as they raced to a 25-point interval advantage.

New Zealander Bent charged over in the 13th minute after the hosts kicked a penalty to the corner and recycled from the lineout.

Sheehan was gifted the second try after Zebre failed to collect their own lineout, leaving the 22-year-old front rower to accept the loose ball and run over from a few yards out.

After Percetto's penalty for Zebre, Leinster got their third try through Kearney, with fellow winger O'Brien racing through a gap in the visitors' defence for a further touchdown in the 37th minute.

The Leinster dominance continued after the restart with Sheehan making the line for his second try.

Ciaran Frawley's clever footwork paved the way for flanker Murphy to go over from close range, and right on the hour mark loan signing Parker proved unstoppable from fellow replacement Hugh O'Sullivan's pass.

Two slick kicks from replacements Josh Renton and Antonio Rizzi unlocked the home defence for full-back Biondelli's 66th-minute breakaway effort.

Leavy was involved in some excellent handling which set up O'Brien's second of the night, and flanker Penny enjoyed a 30-metre run-in with five minutes remaining.

Fly-half Harry Byrne had a 100% record with the boot, landing all nine conversions.

Leinster: J O'Brien, T O'Brien; Turner, Frawley; Kearney; H Byrne, McGrath; Bent, Sheehan, Dooley; Molony, Toner; Murphy, Penny, Ruddock.

Replacements:Tracy, Milne, Parker, Dunne, Fardy, O'Sullivan, Hawkshaw, Leavy.

Zebre: Biondelli, Bruno; Boni, Lucchin; Elliott; Pescetto, Casilio; Buonfiglio, Manfredi, Tarus; Kearney, Nagle; Masselli, Giammarioli, Tuivaiti.

Replacements: Fabiani, Lovotti, Nocera, Krumov, Ortis, Renton, Rizzi, Laloifi.
