ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — Danny Dietrich lined up eighth for the 30-lap feature and took the lead from his brother Billy, with seven laps remaining en route to his first victory at Lincoln Speedway in over a month.

Glenndon Forsythe and Scott Fisher shared the front row at the head of the 25-car field on Saturday night. Forsythe shot to the lead when the green flag dropped with Dylan Norris moving into second. Fisher and Billy Dietrich drag raced down the backstretch for third with Dietrich taking the spot. Jim Siegel followed and moved into fourth sending Fisher to fifth.

The first caution of the race came on lap two when Alan Krimes slowed on the front stretch. Krimes rejoined the field after stopping in the work area.

Forsythe led Norris, Billy, Siegel and Fisher to the cone for the single-file restart.

Dietrich was the only driver in the top five to opt for the high line in turns 1 and 2 on the restart. Norris got under Forsythe coming out of turn two and as the two battled for the lead Billy got by both of them to take the top spot.

Siegel moved into third and the top three, Dietrich, Forsythe and Siegel, started to pull away from the rest of the field.

The leaders approached lapped traffic on lap seven.

Brian Montieth was working through the field from his ninth starting spot and was trying to get in the top five as he battled Fisher.

Another yellow came on lap eight when Aaron Bollinger stopped on the front stretch.

Billy paced the field with Forsythe, Siegel, Norris and Fisher lined up behind him for the restart.

Once again Billy shot to the top going into turns one and two with Forsythe working the bottom as Siegel was all over him for the second spot.

Siegel slid Forsythe in turns three and four for second but Forsythe returned the favor in turns one and two. Once again Siegel got by Forsythe in three and four with Forsythe taking second back in one and two. Siegel finally held him off to take the spot on lap 11 after an intense battle.

The third caution came on lap 11 when Tony Fiore stopped on the front stretch.

The running order for the top five on the restart was Dietrich, Siegel, Forsythe, Norris and Fisher. Danny Dietrich was lurking in sixth with Montieth behind him, both wanting to get into the top five.

Danny got around Fisher earning a spot in the top five. Troy Wagaman Jr. was on the move and got by Montieth and went right to work on Fisher.

Danny got by Norris for fourth before the fourth yellow came on lap 14.

Billy led Siegel, Forsythe, Danny and Troy on the restart. Yet another caution came on lap 15 for a three-car pile-up in turn four involving Alan Krimes, Chad Trout and Matt Campbell. Trout and Campbell rejoined the field.

Danny got by Forsythe for third on the restart putting Siegel in between the two Dietrich brothers.

Siegel slid Billy on lap 18 for the lead but it did not stick allowing Billy to hold onto the lead.

The fifth caution came on lap 18 when Trout and Brie Hershey got together in turn four.

Another yellow came on the restart as the field stacked up behind Billy with Freddie Rahmer getting on top of Troy. Rahmer collected Fisher and Montieth. Troy was able to continue on without stopping, keeping his top five spot. Brett Michalski was also involved ending his night.

After an open red for fuel, Siegel, Danny, Forsythe and Troy lined up behind Billy for the restart.

Danny drove to the bottom into turn one to try and get a run on Siegel for second. Danny got by Siegel at the line on lap 19 for second.

Billy had a nearly 1.5 second lead over his brother with 10 laps to go.

Chase Dietz got under Troy coming out of turn two to enter the top 5 on lap 22. Wagaman got him back at the line to hold the spot but the two continued to swap back and forth for position.

Danny drove by Billy for the lead on the front stretch on lap 23 after Billy made contact with the outside wall.

Danny was catching the tail end of the field with three laps to go, but his lead of 2.684 seconds gave him plenty of leeway over Billy as the laps wound down.

Danny beat his brother to the checkered flag by 1.839 seconds. Siegel finished third. Adam Wilt made a last lap pass for fourth and Forsythe crossed the line fifth.

The finish:

Feature (30 Laps) – 1. 48-Danny Dietrich ($4,000); 2. 8-Billy Dietrich; 3. 59-Jim Siegel; 4. 15-Adam Wilt; 5. 2w-Glenndon Forsythe; 6. 19-Troy Wagaman Jr.; 7. 75-Chase Dietz; 8. 88-Brandon Rahmer; 9. 69-Tim Glatfelter; 10. 5E-Tim Wagaman; 11. 24-Lucas Wolfe; 12. 44-Dylan Norris; 13. 90-Jordan Givler; 14. 55-Dallas Schott; 15. 97-Brie Hershey; 16. 1ST-Steve Surniak; 17. 51-Freddie Rahmer (DNF); 18. 21T-Scott Fisher (DNF); 19. 21-Brian Montieth (DNF); 20. 73B-Brett Michalski (DNF); 21. 16-Matt Campbell (DNF); 22. 1x-Chad Trout (DNF); 23. 87-Alan Krimes (DNF); 24. 91-Tony Fiore (DNF); 25. 16A-Aaron Bollinger (DNF)
