Federation Internationale de
Volleyball:
Volleyball has come a long way from
the dusty-old YMCA gymnasium of Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA,
where visionary, William G. Morgan, invented the sport back in
1895. It has seen the start of two centuries and the dawn of a
new millennium. Volleyball is now one of the big three
international sports, and the FIVB, with its 218 affiliated
national federations, is the largest international sporting
federation in the world.

USA Volleyball:
The USA Volleyball national
office is located in Colorado Springs, Colo. USA Volleyball is
the national governing body for the sport of volleyball in the
United States and is recognized by the Federation International de
Volleyball (FIVB) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). |

AVP Pro Beach Volleyball:
The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour and
NBC Sports announced an agreement today outlining a significantly
increased network broadcast package for the 2003 AVP season. In
August, NBC will air six AVP finals for a total of nine hours of
programming, a marked increase from 2002’s two broadcasts and four
hours of coverage. In addition to televising three AVP men’s
finals live, NBC will for the first time offer live coverage of
three AVP women’s finals |

Volleyball Hall of Fame:
Greater Holyoke Chamber of
Commerce establishes "ad hoc" committee for purpose of promoting
Holyoke, Massachusetts, birthplace of volleyball, as future home
of Volleyball Hall of Fame (VBHF). Holyoke Public Library is
designated as official repository for volleyball memorabilia by
the United States Volleyball Association (USVBA). |

Federation Francaise de Volleyball:
La FFVB est la seule habilitée par le
Ministère de la Jeunesse et des Sports pour organiser des
compétitions de Beach Volley. Dans le domaine du Beach, beaucoup
trop de personnes ont voulu surfer sur la mode du sport fun en
développant tout et n'importe quoi. Il fallait que la Fédération
protège le terme Beach Volley sur le plan commercial et sportif.

отечественного волейбола принято считать 28 июня 1923 г., когда в
Москве состоялся товарищеский матч волейболистов Высших
художественных и театральных мастерских и Государственной школы
кинематографии.
1932 г. была образована Всесоюзная волейбольная секция,
1959 г - Федерация волейбола СССР. |
